December 2011
Chesterfield Waterside has once again entered the Top 100 study for UK regeneration projects run by Planning Magazine 
We will find out next year how the project compares to its #50 placing in 2011. Our Bradford scheme at New Bolton Woods may be entered next year if the planning consent is achieved in 2012, allowing it to qualify for the list.

The UK Top 100 Regeneration Projects 2011 – Chesterfield Waterside moves up to #50 
Chesterfield Waterside is now rated as the 50th largest urban regeneration project in the UK according to industry magazine Regeneration and Renewal. This is a move of 29 places in two years. The Top 100 Regeneration Projects listing is intended to provide an annual snapshot of the UK’s most investment-hungry physical regeneration schemes.

Marketing Brochure launched
Urbo’s new brochure for Chesterfield Waterside is now available showing the many opportunities available at the site. The brochure incorporates new images of how the completed development will look, produced by our scheme architects OMI. Chesterfield Waterside granted outline planning permission
The planning application for Chesterfield Waterside, one of the largest regeneration projects in the UK with an expected cost of almost £350M, was given the green light by Chesterfield Borough Council 15th March 2010, completing many months of negotiations.

November 2008:
National Waterways Conference Presentation
Urbo Directors Mark Bower and Andy Dainty gave a presentation to the National Waterways Conference in Birmingham about our canal restoration work.

October 2008:
Canal Basin Start on site
Construction of the canal basin started and will be completed in Spring 2009.

February 2008:
Waterside Public Consultation
Public Consultation was carried out in various events and people had the chance to learn about our proposals.
